“It
is more than just a place…It is a sanctuary for one’s self-expression.”
University of San Agustin is a
humble institution where learning is never limited to a single step. It leads
one towards the vast horizon of unexpected yet worthwhile opportunities. For many
years, it has established a noble legacy in every student who has become a
member of the Augustinian community. It hones students to become not only
competent, but also to discover the world beyond the four corners of the
classroom. It is a world where one sees magic, hears stunning voices, feels
joy, and expresses his passion. This is one of the best reasons why the
university takes great effort putting up facilities that will motivate students
in this endeavor.
The USA Auditorium is a venue where
Augustinians have witnessed numerous superb and brilliant performances. I, myself is
always at awe whenever performers start to execute marvelous acts. It is being
here where I fall in love with music. What adds thrill to every performance is
the perfect fusion of lights and sounds! The modern-classic approach of the
venue undeniably soothes my total experience. Well-improved chairs and stage
are good ways of giving conduciveness to viewers. Perhaps, the changes in the
auditorium can trigger amazement, but still I know the story it brings from the
past still remains. Its make-over has never forsaken the memories of the
worldclass performances of The USA Kawilihan, Little Theater, USA Troubadours,
etc for many years.
USA auditorium has also opened its
doors to students who never thought could have the chance of showing their
talents in front of the crowd! I, myself never imagined that I would become
that 1960’s girl as I portrayed a role in a play back when I was a 2nd
year student. Indeed, it was fun! I saw myself and my classmates enjoying that
one special moment! From that day, I
realized that conquering my fear would spice up my college life, until I eventually
become fearless. Thus, I still have to continuously prosper.
Afterall…I
can say that here in the University of San Agustin, I found my “first ever
stage!” I was brought out of my shell. At the same time, it is where us,
Augustinians find freedom in expressing and flaunting our God-given talents,
where we can embrace madness, and where we can explore.
